Fly day! - Students fly to the British Virgin Islands and meet the rest of their team for the first time aboard S/Y Ocean Star. |
2 |
Orientation and underway - Swim test, scuba gear checkout and academic orientation. We'll cast the lines before lunch and head to Virgin Gorda for our first confined water dives. |
3 |
Sailing - This is the first proper sailing day as we get familiar with the lines and terminology of piloting an 80-ft schooner. Evening classes |
4 |
Scuba, Nautical Science and Leadership - Completing portions of the scuba course we'll prepare for our first passage by planning and discussing the importance of our roles as an individual but also as part of a team. |
5 |
Passage to Nevis- Say goodbye to the BVI, we're out of there. 3 on 6 off rotation with your watch teams. |
6 |
Arrival in Nevis - Clear customs, clear the decks and get some rest to clear you head! Tomorrow's a big day. |
7 |
Nevis - Hike "The Source" so called as it is Nevis' water supply. Evening academic activities |
8-9 |
Sail to Nevis - Two days of shore of exploration, history and... laundry! Evening classes |

To Antigua - Exploration, hiking and history from Nelson's Dockyard and Falmouth Harbour. |

To St. Barths - Scuba, surfing, exploration, crusty bread and French Cheese! Daily classes and Leadership presentations. |

Off to the island of Saba - Hiking, scuba and glassblowing! |

Back to the BVI - Use all of your leadership skills to guide your team and vessel back across the Anegada Passage back to the BVI. Finish the scuba training and complete your Leadership course finals. |

Fly Day - Swap emails quick! It's time to say goodbye to your team and head to the airport. |
