Today, Cala D'oro was awakened at 6:15 to the sounds of the native fowl and superb driving abilities of the islanders. After being hauled out of bed, the shipmates went on a hike up to the top of Mt. Sage, which, at times, required both hands and feet (at least it felt that way). After seeing the great view, we decided it was time to come down. The shipmates rewarded themselves with cheeseburgers and ice cream. Then we went to an almost surreal place called Sandy Cay, for a sandcastle building contest. The evening was spent grooving to local reggae music. Overall, it was a fulfilling day that will be long remembered in the form of blisters and sore muscles and sand everywhere! |

Mike Meighan catches us up on
the happenings in the BVI programs, in addition
to some of the happenings in the world wide programs
we offer. Lots of details on the sailing, diving
and general adventures of the fleet who are circumnavigating
the BVI's. The group is currently on the north
side of the island anchored behind a little sliver
of sand aptly names Sandy Spit.

Oh my God! Great day! First we motored to our dive site, the Playgrounds, where we went diving on a great reef! In my group, we saw an eel and barracuda, others saw a sea turtle! The advanced diver group then learned about equipment and how to fix it. The marine bio group did research dives and worked on their projects. The weather was awesome, blue skies all day with a steady breeze! In the late afternoon, some kids went on a second dive, which I heard was great. And others went to a little beach on Sandy Spit. There we swam and relaxed on a tropical island. AWESOME!!! |

We got up early to sail over to West End, the place we were the very first day! Everyone had fun on shore, calling home and buying snacks! Then we sailed to GHP. We went waterskiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding then went for a dive. The marine bio group is working hard to finish their presentations. Tonight they will be going over their Quiz answers. I can't believe this trip is almost over, it feels like it just started. |

Today we went to Cooper Island again. The site by Blue Chromis is great because it has reef and wrecks. It was neat to come back to the site we were on one of the first days. I feel like a much better diver now. The advanced group is finishing their wreck specialty and the marine biology group will be able to dive 3 wrecks and the reef. We will have to finish our projects because tonight is presentations. |

Today we had a cake with M&Ms on it for Adam's
15th birthday. It was wonderful. We had a pleasure
dive on the Fearless and then sailed over to Roadtown,
the capitol of the BVI's. It was fun to explore and
buy last minute presents. Then we sailed to the Bight.
We were racing with all of the other boats and it was
so much fun. There are a lot of boats anchored here.
We are going to enjoy our last sea shower, our favorite
time, and then have our last dinner as a boat. Our
staff have something special planned for us tonight. |

We left The Bight in Norman Island for a great last dive off the Indians. We then motored after lunch to West End through torrential downpours. We were greeted by sunny skies, right as we wanted to dock. We cleaned to make our boat as clean as it was when we came aboard. After cleaning, we enjoyed a delicious BBQ at Pusser's. We said our goodbye's and exchanged emails, and then went off to our boats. Few slept, as many started leaving at 4:30 AM. We were there to wave a final goodbye. |
